The story of the Treehouse Erlangen restaurant is a story of dreams, discoveries and a deep love of gastronomy. A place where we combine the curiosity and creativity of a child with the sophistication and know-how of experienced restaurateurs.
Because the Treehouse is not only a tribute to childhood, but also a celebration of international cuisine in all its diversity. And last but not least, a monument to our home Franconia.
The roots of the Treehouse lie in the fantasy world of the owners’ own children: they dreamed of a tree house that they could live in with their parents all year round. This wonderful wish, which every parent can certainly understand, became the greatest inspiration for our restaurant. A place where the family can spend a pleasant yet exciting time – in the middle of beautiful Erlangen! We avoid following well-trodden paths. We reinvent ourselves every day and never lose our childlike enthusiasm.

Children don’t think about airbags and electronic parking aids… No, for them a car, just like a tree house, is a symbol of an as yet unknown adventure, of something new!
Try to remember the car you drove on vacation with your parents… What was that feeling like? Wasn’t every trip full of tension, excitement and anticipation?
This is where the Treehouse philosophy comes into play:
We adults race through our everyday lives and our thoughts race with us. We are constantly on the move, constantly stressed and rarely find peace and quiet. So it’s no wonder that our sense of adventure and joy of discovery literally fall by the wayside! At the Treehouse you will experience a cozy, familiar atmosphere – but also rediscover your thirst for adventure!
The owners have also had many adventures! Their culinary journey began in 1995 in Erlangen, via Hamburg and Fürth to Thailand and finally to the USA (Florida). They gained experience everywhere, learned new cooking techniques and discovered exotic flavors, always open to new impressions. 30 years later, they are now returning from a long journey to their roots: Erlangen. Their goal: to found a restaurant that combines Franconian excellence and down-to-earthness with the joy of supra-regional cuisine!
That’s why you’ll find specialties such as Bayerische Garnelen, tuna steak, lobster tail and exclusively high-quality fish and meat. From Ora King Lachs and Tomahawk steaks to Surf and Turf – you can feel the diverse culinary influences from all over the world in every single dish on the menu!
